Tell us a snowy story for a chance to win a £200 voucher from Snow + Rock
Fall-Line readers have always been an adventurous and talented bunch, as demonstrated these days by a flick through our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook feeds. We know for a fact that your brains are crammed with tales from the mountains, some humble, some heroic… some hilarious. We reckon that if even only a fraction of you put pen to paper we’d have enough wise words to fill this entire magazine.
Last season we were so mightily impressed by the quality of entries to our reader writing competition. We’ve teamed up with Snow + Rock (snowandrock.com), who are giving away a £200 voucher to every winner.
For our first issue, the October issue, we’re making it really easy for you to enter by giving you a choice of title – either ‘Line of My Life’ or ‘The Breakthrough’. It can be from this season, last season, 1978… or maybe even from the future. Basically, we’re looking for interesting ski stories, well told. First person. Third person. Past Tense. Future subjunctive. Whatever. Last season you sent us, among other things, tales of childhood trips, steeps in Scotland, triumph over injury and various hair-raising narrow escapes.
To enter, email your story to skeeks@fall-line.co.uk with the subject line ‘The Line of My Life’. The word count should be between 400 and 450 words. If you have photos, lease send samples too. If you’re successful, one of our team will be in touch!
The final winning story will appear in the mag.
