This is a “do it all” ski for women with two feet firmly in freeride mode. Slash through powder fields, carve up the hard pack or jump down a couloir… the Rossignol Sky 7 has mega-capacity for a variety of conditions made it a close runner-up to our overall women’s winner this year.
It’s playful, manoeuvrable and simply a whole load of fun on and off piste. The solid edge-hold and traditional camber underfoot, combined with a lightweight, tapered tail and an early tip rocker, allowed me to conquer all snow conditions with ease.
I was able to turn on a dime or shut down in a flash and yet sail happily through heavy, cruddy or powdery conditions. The Sky 7’s versatility is really its defining feature – cranking a turn on the piste still felt great too and with an 18m radius this reveals just how well tuned these freeride skis are.
These skis are an excellent choice for advanced to expert female skiers with big-mountain skiing in their sights – the sky’s the limit.
