The work of art that is the Armada ARW 116 VJJ is back and this year she’s gone zero gravity on us with an all-new ultralight (UL) caruba wood core designed to bring even more float to your fat freestyle antics.
She may have lost a whole heap of weight (800g per pair) over the past year, but the 2021 VJJ is still rocking the same big-ass attitude and burly dimensions to make deep days so goddamn dreamy. Last year’s fat lassies were prime for effortless laying out big wide lazy turns, swooping through pow and surfing slush and the new feathery construction looks set to add a hefty dollop of pop and power into the magic mix.
The new caruba wood core may be light but it should still retain the strength and dampness needed for managing cruddy off-piste conditions while the monster freestyle rocker ensures quick response if you need to quickly switch things up on pillows and in the trees.
