Atlas Ski Co is a Morzine-based ski company that specialise in catered and self-catered ski holidays, set up by good friends, Richard Wilford and Ben Richards, skiers, mountain bikers, foodies and business owners.
With Atlas Ski Co, your accommodation can be as simple as a central self-catered apartment, or an extravagant fully catered chalet with professional chef and host providing all the trimmings. With extensive in resort partnerships they can provide everything from your airport transfer, lift pass, equipment hire and anything else you might need for your ideal holiday.
We asked Rich about the company, and here is what he had to say…
What is Atlas Ski Co?
Atlas Ski Co was born in the French Alps: Our Founder and Owner Richard Wilford was lucky enough to call Morzine in the vast Portes du Soleil ski area home for nearly a decade before returning to Bristol. With offices in Morzine and Bristol we have teams on the ground in resort and in the UK at events and socials. Our staff are employed year round working for our Ski and MTB companies and we have a bilingual team.
Established in 2012 we are now ten years old as a company and we have weathered some serious storms and managed to come out fighting with the recent rebrand and relaunch of our ski operation to Atlas Ski Co. A holiday with Atlas is for anyone who wants a proper holiday delivered by a company who are ingrained in the culture and lifestyle of the mountains and its sporting industries.
Why did you start the company?
In 2012, Rich was living the seasonaire dream in Morzine working for a ski hire shop and doing airport transfers in between skiing at every chance and drinking far too many beers at the Apres bars. Seasonaire accommodation was scarce and still is now, however an awesome Morzine local, Francois gave him the opportunity to rent their old family home and the rest is history. 1O years later seasonaires still stay at Francois’ old family home and he is a great friend.
What makes ATLAS SKI CO different?
Atlas Ski Co deliver exceptional holidays with their experience, passion and understanding of the core elements that are so important when delivering a ski holiday. We are locals, our core staff are locals and we have built relationships in resort over the past decade that put our clients in a position where their holiday is truly a holiday, we take the stress away.
From our food, cooked with passion and love using local ingredients to your ski hire being delivered to the accommodation and fitted by expert technicians as you enjoy a glass of fizz or cold beer. It is the little things that count and we make sure they are provided as standard. We do not do luxury, very few do, we just do things properly, as we would want them done for us.

Your time and money is hard earnt and we appreciate that, our clients allow us to live the dream so we want to replay that favour and let them dream for a week or two also.
What is the dream for Atlas Ski?
The dream for Atlas Ski Co is already happening, that being said we are looking into expanding into Italy as we already operate there with our MTB company. We love Italy, the food and the culture. We want to offer more adventure based trips, venturing into the backcountry, splitboard tours and bucket list trips. The USA and Canada are also calling.
The Atlas brand will soon encompass our Mountain Bike holiday company MTB Beds also as we rebrand the business as a whole. The range of Atlas brands will extend to Ski, MTB, Surf and a full adventure travel group.
We deliver holidays we would like to go on, we don’t sell a holiday unless we would pay for it ourselves. It’s not about the money, holidays will never make you rich, it’s about sharing the experience and creating those memories our clients will never forget.
