The Best Ski Films I’ve Seen This Year

The best ski films I’ve seen this year are either Level 1’s Wasteland or Nico Porteous’ Step One.

Wasteland is a Level 1 classic following an insane crew through the streets and into the backcountry with standout segments from Jonah Williams and Anni Karava. In contrast, Nico’s is solely about riding transitions, filmed on purpose-built facilities in Japan and Europe, including never-been-done tricks in the halfpipe that really made me want to learn how to ski a halfpipe properly.
