Sixt Fer à Cheval is classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France for its architectural patrimony and especially its classified natural sites. The ski resort of Sixt is connected to the Grand Massif by the beautiful Piste des Cascades (waterfalls’ ski run), a 14 km long blue run.

An area with high potential: from an altitude of 800 to 1600 m, this part of the Grand Massif’s ski resort (265 km of ski runs) is inviting and easily accessible. 32 km of ski slopes, 6 ski lifts et 4 snow cannons: it’s an exceptional setting, ideal for children and beginners, where you can enjoy all types of snow-sports. Black and red runs will also satisfy experienced skiers. Thanks to the waterfalls’ skilift, the area of Sixt Fer à Cheval is directly accessible from Flaine (alt. of 2500 m ) at the foot of the waterfalls’ run: the “joyau du Grand Massif” (gem of the Grand Massif), a 14 km long blue run winding through the Nature Reserve of Sixt.
