Val Thorens is the highest ski village in Europe at 2300m of altitude, making it one of the most snow-sure resorts in the French Alps. Val Thorens is part of the mega Three Valleys – the world’s largest inter-connected ski area. It sits at the head of the Belleville valley and is connected now to small resort Orelle, over in a fourth valley.
In conjunction with its day-to-day operations, Val Thorens also hosts a number of prestigious sporting events: Trophée Andros, Ski & Boarderweek; 3 Vallees X-Wing Rally, to name just a few. The resort also supports and celebrates its homegrown champions, including ski racer Adrien Théaux (French National Team, World Cup group), Jean-Frédéric Chapuis (a medal machine with multiple World Champion titles and an Olympic gold), snowboarder Chloé Trespeusch with an Olympic bronze), and freeride and freestyle star Antoine Diet.
