We have three incredible Fall-Line award-winning pieces of kit to give away!
We can hardly believe we’ve got our hands on this freeride rig for one of you lucky readers. Not only are our friends at Atomic setting aside a pair of the mighty Bent Chetler 100s – guaranteed to put a grin on your face all day – but our winner will also take home the brand new Shift binding, a backcountry game-changer this winter, and the Hawx Ultra XTD 130 boot, which the beady-eyed will recognise from its recent stint at the top of our Freeride boot rankings.
The BENT CHETLER, an era-defining powder ski made for deep days, was designed in collaboration with Chris Benchetler. To this day the freeski sensation from Mammoth, California, has a hand in its development, including in this year’s new and versatile 100mm width. The SHIFT BINDING (RRP £400) – a joint-venture from Atomic and Salomon – combines, for the first time, the relatively light weight and uphill performance of a pin binding with the elasticity and skiing characteristics of a true alpine binding.
Atomic’s HAWX ULTRA XTD 130 turned our heads when it arrived last winter thanks to its equally impressive uphill and downhill performance – that elusive combination of precision on the descent and comfort on the climbs. The boot (RRP £570) remains a favourite – in last month’s issue, FL163, tester Chrigl Luthy had this to say after a long-term test: “The XTD 130 truly felt like a light, fast, practical touring option on the ascents, and on the descents it felt at least as planted and powerful as most performance alpine boots.”
So there you have it. A trio of top-class essentials to make your ongoing ski journey ever more brilliant. What are you waiting for?
