We’ve teamed up with British brand Rab to give away a Latok GTX jacket and pants (men’s and women’s available) – a rugged, super-protective combination for burly days in the backcountry.
When it comes to making fit-for-purpose gear for rugged mountain adventures, Rab certainly knows its stuff. New this winter, the Latok GTX takes its place in the super-impressive backcountry and ski mountaineering-specific Khroma range.
Built to explore the backcountry, the Rab Khroma jacket features two weights of Gore-Tex Pro Most Breathable to balance protection, weight and breathability. Heavier duty across the shoulders and outer sleeves, the jacket withstands any scrapes against rock and ice and the abrasion from ropes, or the straps of a fully loaded pack. The lighter weight fabric around the core gives greater mobility, breathability, and reduced weight and bulk for when your shell needs to be stashed in a pack.
Features are clever and plentiful, including a slightly longer length to keep the elements on the outside, backpack-compatible pockets, an adjustable ski helmet-compatible hood, soft and stretchy internal gaiters and a stretch powder skirt.
